During a vote next to the ballot box was Flavien Termet, a 20-year-old deputy from Le Pen's party.

When the left voted, they denied him a greeting and taunted him.

Case Against Bill Gates in the Netherlands allowed to move forward
The court that will hear the case has ruled it has jurisdiction over Gates to hear the case

According to this Tweet, RFK Jr. has announced that BIll Gates has “been indicted in the Netherlands for lying to the public about the Covid vaccine.”

Blindspot has 2 sources for this story, one of which embeds a Tweet that has an image of a document which does not contain Gate's name in said image.

According to this link, there was a lawsuit against Gates that Gates had filed an objection to claiming htat he was not subject to the jurisdiction of the court where the suit has been brought. But the court has ruled that yes, in fact, they do have jurisdiction.

Will update the story as it develops.

Forward Progress
Feels like no steps forward and two steps back

For those of you who continue to read me here, I'd like to fill you in on a few details.

First, I've been out of professional work for going on a year, but it's really more like two years: There was a DOD thing that I took in 2024, but it was set up to fail, especially because the candidate needed a security clearance to start the work. In theory I could have started the work without a clearance, but because there was an edge case where I could come across classified material, out of an abundance of caution, I was kept off of the team I was supposed to join for two months. The clearance didn't come through, not because I wast ineligible, but because it is a bureaucratic process. Declaring bankruptcy at the same time didn't help, because that increased the amount of things that needed to be investigated before a clearance could be issued.

There were also problems with the work in general. There were no canonical builds, automation wasn't running on every branch or build. And that's before you get into the politics of the team. It was a lifeline, nothing more.

I had a contracting gig earlier this year that I was referred to by someone on LinkedIn. I was told I was being contracted because they needed my help setting up CI/CD because the manager had never done that before and that they would also need help with automation when they started rewriting the product. In the meantime, there was manual testing to be done.

I thought I was picking up the system quickly, but there was a lot of hidden knowledge that had been built up over the 12 years the code had been in production. What I didn't know was how to create many of the scenarios so that I could test them. It wasn't that I didn't know what need to be tested, it was that I didn't know how to do the "Arrange" step (as in Arrange, Act, Assert) in many cases. This lead to frustration with the team.

And then, to top it off, when they finally started working on the new code months late, they picked the testing tool without consulting me. AND the manager said he already had CI/CD GitHub actions he had used at another job that he wanted to use here. So they didn't want my expertise and they didn't need my help setting up CI/CD. And I was going to have to learn the frameworks the developers were going to have to learn for the new product PLUS the testing framework that I wasn't familiar with and be expected to keep pace with Development. Once again, I was sold a bill of goods.

The past several months I've been waiting out the economy/industry. It's what I've done in the past and something has eventually turned up. But I don't think anything is turning up this time. Unless I find contract work or work on a project out of my own curiosity, I don't think I'm going back into computers. It's not that I don't like working on computers; it's that I don't like working in the industry and the industry doesn't like me working in it.

I also had some settlement money come in because a creditor tried to get me to pay the debt I owed during and after the bankruptcy. I was able to sue them, but got a paltry amount: it only covered a month of expenses and it got to me on the last possible day for the money to come in. That money is gone and I've been trying to figure out what to do next.

I've usually resorted to food delivery jobs at these times in my life. I've deliver for two different pizza brands twice each, delivered steak and Chinese food as well. Despite my many years of delivery experience, I haven't been able to secure delivery work.

Since it appears the IT industry is done with me for good, I've been trying to make a go at writing online. I'm not quite doing the writing I want at the level I want, but you have to start somewhere. Ergo, that's why you've seen the SubStack links over the past few weeks. I've picked up a few Substack followers, but no supporters/donors as of the time of this writing.

As much as I don't want to work for Target because of how hard they were pushing DEI/trans, a buddy of mine got a job as a Target Warehouse worker for $22/hr. He says he can get 40 hours a week.

That would be better money than Waffle House. And I could do both. I *might* be able to pay bills with just Target or Target + Waffle House or Target + writing online.

So, it's potentially forward motion.

AND... I'm applying for a work-from-home customer service job with GiveSendGo. I don't know how much it pays, but even if it's the same as Waffle House, it would be better than Waffle House because it's work from home. (the Customer Support Agent & Specialist role)

AND...I bought a 365 day desk calendar that I've been using to help me find things to write about in my On This Day in History section of my Substack. Twice, I've found that the date they said something happened is wrong or inconclusive. It turns out this calendar is produced a year in advance, meaning the 2026 calendars have already been printed and they're working on the 2027 calendars. I'm going to send an email stating that I've found some inaccuracies and offer to tell them if they want to know and offer to be a fact checker for the 2027 calendar. If I could create my own job like that, I'd be over the moon!

So please, please, please, share my donation links (https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/realprofessortom https://www.givesendgo.com/tomasgalluccithewriter https://buymeacoffee.com/professortom) as wide as you can so that I can sustain life for the next few weeks until I get on surer footing.

Thank You,

Tomas "ProfessorTom" Gallucci

At 0630 this morning, the weather was in the high 60's, but the humidity made it feel warmer. The was a steady breeze and ths sun was out. If I didn't know any better, I'd think we were going to have a tornado.

I got to my polling place before 0800. The line was long but was moving at a fairly rapid pace. I was in line for less than half an hour and that was with the line all the way from deep inside the building, out to the back of a wide parking lot and then a right angle along the side of the much, much longer side of the parking lot.

The closer I got to the building, the more ominous the weather started looking. Thankfully, I made it inside and back out to my car before it started raining.

Based on what i witnessed locally, I think the turn out this election is going to be massive.
